INSA aims to promote naval safety and environmental protection through the cooperative production, sustainment and application of codes for design and assurance of naval shipping. Membership is available to navies and classification societies and there are currently 19 members and the focus is primarily on the development of the Naval Ship Code and the Naval Submarine Code. The Naval Ship Code is publicly available as ANEP-77 on the NATO site: https://nso.nato.int/nso/nsdd/listpromulg.html. Although INSA membership is only open to Navies and Classification Societies, INSA wants to better engage with ‘Industry’ organisations such as shipyard’s, designers and suppliers who are working with the Naval Ship Code and hope you will be interested in attending a webinar on Wednesday 3 July 1400 – 1500 (UK time). The INSA Steering Committee will be presenting and we intend this session to provide an overview of INSA and the Code and you will be able to submit questions via the messaging section. Whether you are already using the Code or just want to find out more, we hope that you will be able to join us. For an invite with the joining details, please register your interest by emailing us at secretariat@navalshipcode.org.
